Bio

Romana is pursuing a Ph.D. in Serious Games at Glasgow Caledonian University. Her research focuses on developing an understanding of how exergames can improve various intervening factors such as self-efficacy and social support, to encourage health-promoting behaviours. Romana has presented her work at a number of international conferences including Game Days 2010: Serious Games for Sports and Health, Games for Health and DiGRA.

Alongside her Ph.D. Romana works as a freelance usability consultant for Bunnyfoot, a behavioural research company. She is one of the key research staff at the eMotion Lab, a premier facility that offers consultancy and development services in the area of user-centred design and evaluation of digital interactive media. Romana is actively involved in the games community, as the organiser for Scottish Game Jam she has helped foster links between her University and the games industry in Scotland.
