Leena Häkkänen, HR Manager of Novel, Inc. is recognized for her passion and expertise in Human Resources, and has more than decade of HR Generalist experience in the US and internationally, helping small businesses and corporations to build their HR functions.

Leena holds Master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from Helsinki School of Economics in Finland. Passionate about life long learning and delivering quality HR, she additionally earned her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) credentials in 2003, and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Lake Washington Human Resource Association (LWHRA), Entertainment Software Human Resources Association (ESHRA), and Global HR Consortium (GHRC).

Redmond, Wash.-based Novel, Inc., (www.novelincorporated.com) was founded in early 2009 by entrepreneur Brayden Olson as an emerging developer of massively multiplayer online (MMO) games and pioneer in the new category of enterprise simulations. The company’s mission is to bring innovative consumer online games to market and leverage proprietary game technologies for business application. The company’s first title, Empire & State is a social strategy MMO that will serve as the foundation for future consumer and business products.
