Karen Collins is Canada Research Chair in Interactive Audio in the Canadian Centre of Arts and Technology at the University of Waterloo. She is the author of Game Sound, published by the MIT Press in 2008 and the editor of From Pac-Man to Pop Music published by Ashgate. She has been extensively involved in the Interactive Audio Special Interest Group's Game Audio Curriculum Guideline, recently released at the Game Developers Conference.
