Brett Phares

Brett Phares is an artist working in computer visualization and installation, exploring god-like awareness in digital space and blindness in physical experience. He has shown most recently at SIGGRAPH Asia 2008 in Singapore, and screened work at Chelsea Art Museum NYC and other venues; he writes and has presented on blindness in everyday experience, his artist monograph on the topic to be published in Leonardo (MIT Press) later this year; and he returns as curator and judge for Alys Beach’s projected art festival, Digital Graffiti. With 18 years in interactive media creating innovative advertising and communications for some prominent international brands, Mr. Phares is currently Assistant Professor of Interactive Media at Marist College.
